On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM, a ceremony for the donation of books was held at the Eco-Library, Office of the University Library, Kasetsart University. Kasetsart University administrators in attendance included: Asst. Prof. Dr. Krit Won-in, Vice President for Innovations and Social Missions; Asst. Prof. Dr. Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Korakit Choomgrant, Associate Dean for International Affairs and Educational Quality Development, Faculty of Social Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaowapha Waiprib, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nongluck Manowaluilou, Deputy Director for Academic and International Affairs, Office of Lifelong Learning; Professor Matthew Paul Downs, Consultant for International Relations, Economics Center for International Affairs (ECIA), Faculty of Economics; Ms. Watinee Khemakarothai, Deputy Director for Academic and Organizational Communication, Office of the University Library; Mrs. Hathaitus Semchuchot, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, along with staff members from the University Library and the International Affairs Division.

The event began with welcoming remarks by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krit Won-in, expressed gratitude to H.E. Dr. Sándor Sipos, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, for the donation of books about the Kingdom of Hungary. These books aim to benefit and expand the knowledge of students and staff at Kasetsart University. Following the ceremony, Ms. Watinee Khemakarothai accompanied the ambassador on a tour of the University Library, highlighting its learning resources and management.

H.E. Dr. Sándor Sipos, the Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, visited Kasetsart University once again at the invitation of the Faculty of Social Sciences. During his visit, he delivered a special lecture on the topic “Hungary’s Soft Power on the Global Stage.” This lecture followed an earlier collaborative activity in September, where the ambassador participated in a tree-planting ceremony and unveiled a commemorative plaque at the "Urban Forest @ Thung Bangkhen" under the Office of Agricultural Museum and Culture, Kasetsart University. These events have further strengthened the relationship between the Embassy of Hungary in Thailand and Kasetsart University.
