Admission for Inbound Exchange Students

 

             The online application form is appropriate for international students who will enroll as an exchange student and take courses that earn academic credit, and for international students who have arranged wish to take short-term courses or participate in internship, trainings programs, or engage in research projects at Kasetsart UniversityStudents must complete and submit the online application form with the required documents. The application review process normally takes about 4 weeks.


          The International Affair Divisions (IAD) oversees the application process. If your application is accepted, IAD will issue an acceptance letter and a letter certifying your acceptanceThese documents are needed to facilitate your visa application process (Thailand Education ED-Visa) and for registration at KUBe sure to keep the documents in a safe, secure place.

On Monday, May 13th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in Meeting Room No. 9 on the 2nd Floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University (KU) Bangkhen Campus, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University, was honored to chair the welcoming remarks for the academic meeting between the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) and Kasetsart University (KU). The meeting was attended by several administrators and lecturers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Seri Koonjaenak, DVM, Vice President for Sriracha Campus; Prof. Dr. Wanchai Todsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apisit Songsasen, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Srijidtra Charoenlarpnopparut, Dean of the Graduate School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sathaporn Chuepeng, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha; Asst. Prof. Dr. P. Pungboon Pansila, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Sriracha; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarinya Sanitwong Na Ayutthaya, Dean of the Faculty of International Maritime Studies at Sriracha; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchatee Tecgapiesancharoenkij, Head of the Materials Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thee Chowwanonthapunya, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of International Maritime Studies at Sriracha. They welcomed and participated in the international academic collaboration with Mr. Wu Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, and other administrators from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, including Professor Zhang Dawei, Professor Li Baoming, Dr. He Xirbo, Mr. Sheng Jiawei, and Ms. Zhang Jing.

 

Before the academic discussion, both universities exchanged brief overviews of their respective institutions. Mr. Wu Guilong highlighted that the collaboration between the universities began in 2017 with the signing of an MOU, aimed at supporting academic activities in materials and corrosion. This collaboration was initiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thee Chowwanonthapunya and has continued to the present day.

 

Mr. Wu Guilong expressed interest in expanding academic collaboration with KU through initiatives such as lecturer and student exchanges and joint research projects. The KU administrators and lecturers agreed to support an international double degree program between USTB and KU, building on KU's experience with similar programs with various Japanese universities.

 

The meeting concluded with Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat presenting a souvenir to Mr. Wu Guilong and the other USTB administrators. The event ended with a group photo session.
