On 22
January 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the
International Affairs Division, KU in collaboration with Campus France Thailand
and the French Embassy in Thailand, organized the “Campus France Tour 2024” at the Thira Sutabutra Auditorium, 2nd floor, the Golden
Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University,
Bang Khen Campus. This event aimed to provide information about scholarships,
research grants, training programs, and exchange opportunities for faculty
members, staff, early-career researchers, and students from Kasetsart
University interested in pursuing studies or research at leading educational
and research institutions in France. More than 60 faculty
members, students, staff, and other interested individuals attended the event.

Kasetsart University, in
collaboration with the French Embassy in Thailand and Campus France Thailand,
organized the annual “Campus France Tour 2024.” This
year’s event was inaugurated by Associate Professor Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath,
Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization, who welcomed
the delegation from Campus France Thailand led by Dr. Ludovic Andres, Attaché
for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, and Ms. Sujira Panyawattana,
Student Advisor, Campus France Thailand. The delegation visited Kasetsart
University to promote scholarship opportunities for international students in
France.

The “Campus France Tour 2024” featured two key sessions:
“Studies
in France and Scholarships” – A presentation by Campus France for students,
including an alumni video, Q&A session, and quiz game, by Ms. Sujira
Panyawattana, Student Advisor, Campus France Thailand.
“Fellowship
and Mobility Programs” – A presentation and discussion with representatives
from the Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, French Embassy, tailored
for KU administrators, faculty members, and researchers, by Dr. Ludovic Andres, Attaché for Scientific
and Higher Education Cooperation.

These sessions aimed to guide
opportunities for further education, highlight the advantages of studying in
France, explain the unique characteristics of the French education system, and
detail the application processes for scholarships. Faculty members and students
from various faculties and academic levels actively participated in the event.
Additionally, a former Franco-Thai PhD scholarship recipient shared their
experiences, from preparing scholarship applications to studying, finding work,
and reflecting on the rewarding experiences of studying in France. At the end
of the sessions, the speakers invited participants to ask further questions
about the details of the presentations.

The organization of the “Campus
France Tour 2024” marked another success in fostering
collaboration between Kasetsart University and the French Embassy in Thailand.
Participants gained comprehensive information on scholarships, study opportunities,
and strategies for building academic partnerships between institutions. This
event not only enhanced academic potential and opened international
opportunities for faculty members, staff, and students of Kasetsart University
but also highlighted the strong relationship between Kasetsart University and
the French Embassy. This partnership serves as a foundation for sustainable
international academic collaboration in the future.
