the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart
University, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the
President for International Affairs, presided over to welcome the delegation
from the College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University,
Republic of China (Taiwan).

The event was attended by KU
administrators and faculty, including Associate Professor Dr. Prateep Duengkae,
Dean of the Faculty of Forestry; Associate Professor Dr. Suchat Leungprasert,
Deputy Dean for Administration, Faculty of Engineering; Assistant Professor Dr.
Witcha Imaram, Associate Dean for Administration, Faculty of Science; Assistant
Professor Dr. Pawee Klongvessa, Lecturer, Department of Environmental
Technology and Management, Faculty of Environment; Assistant Professor Dr.
Naruemol Kaewjampa, Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Educational
Innovation, Graduate School; Associate Professor Dr. Worachart Wisawapipat,
Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture; Associate Professor Dr.
Anchalee Sirikhachornkit, Department of Genetics, Faculty of Science; Assistant
Professor Dr. Jareerat Chunthawodtiporn, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of
Agriculture; Miss Pratthana Thirakiettikun, Head of the International
Collaboration and Networking Sections; and staff members of the International
Affairs Division welcomed the visiting scholars from the College of
Bioresources and Agriculture included Dr. Yu-Pin Lin, Dean of the Department of
Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering; Dr. Chihhao Fan, Associate Dean and
Professor, Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering; Dr. Shan-Li
Wang, Professor, Department of Agricultural Chemistry; and Dr. Shih-Shun Lin,
Professor, Institute of Biotechnology on their official visit to Kasetsart
University.

During the meeting, Associate
Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International
Affairs delivered a welcoming address, followed by remarks of appreciation from
Dr. Yu-Pin Lin, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen ties
between the institutions. Discussions focused on promoting and expanding
academic and research collaborations to foster mutual growth and advancement.

The purpose of this official
visit, coordinated by the Vice Dean for Administration at the Faculty of
Agriculture, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, was to discuss avenues for developing
academic collaborations, including student exchange programs, a double-degree
program, and the establishment of a joint research center. The College of
Bioresources and Agriculture has maintained an MOU with the Faculty of
Agriculture, Kamphaeng Saen, since 2019, engaging in collaborative research and
co-hosting bilateral symposia.

In today’s meeting, executives
and lecturers from various faculties and departments participated in
discussions on shared areas of interest, including research, academics, and
publications, particularly in fields such as engineering, agriculture,
environment, science, and veterinary medicine. Both parties explored research
topics of mutual interest, including Biochar, Circular Economy, and
Microplastics. They also discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) at the university level to initiate collaborations with other interested
faculties or departments in the future.

Additionally, academics from the
College of Bioresources and Agriculture (NTU) emphasized that collaborative
activities at the faculty or university level could commence immediately during
the preparation and pending formal signing of the MoU. These activities may
include co-publication of research on aligned topics, student exchange
programs, scholarship opportunities, an establishment of a Joint Research
Center, technology exchanges, and other research projects or academic
activities in the future.

The meeting included discussions
on the aforementioned collaborations, during which executives from both
institutions presented and discussed approaches to fostering research and
academic collaboration in the near future. Both sides expressed their
satisfaction with the successful outcome of the discussions. Following this,
Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for
International Affairs, presented souvenirs to the delegation from the College
of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University (Republic of China,
Taiwan), and group photos were taken with all participants to commemorate the
occasion. The delegation then proceeded to visit Kasetsart University's
Kamphaeng Saen Campus.
