International Affairs Networking 2024 at Eastin Resort Rayong

From Thursday, October 31 - Saturday, November 2, 2024, the International Affairs Division held the International Affairs Networking and the Policy Steering Committee Meeting 1/2024 at Eastin Resort Rayong. The seminar welcomed over 79 participants from various departments and campuses.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 02:00 p.m., participants arrived at the venue in the Ballroom. They joined the team-building course titledHeartflow Facilitation: Engage to Inspire,led by the Daily Happiness with YO team: Ms. Supang Chirarattanawanna, along with Coach Maam (Ms. Chutchada Lekcharoensuk), Coach Ly (Ms. Lakthip Limkangvanmongkol), and Coach Kaew (Ms. Gesraporn Hancke). Ms. Thiwara Thatthana, Foreign Relations Officer, Operational Level, moderated the session. Through various activities conducted by the coaches, participants got to know each other better, practiced teamwork, and enhanced their creative thinking skills.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, at 09:00 a.m., the opening ceremony commenced with a welcome address delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and Internationalization. Following this, a video of Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod was shown to introduce and share Kasetsart University's internationalization policies. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization, was the moderator for a brainstorming session on analyzing the components of Kasetsart Universitys internationalization strategy (The participants were then divided into 3 groupsGroup A, Group B, and Group C). At 01:00 p.m., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath took in each group’s critiques, feedback, and suggestions on the draft internationalization strategy, as well as drafted action plans. Group representatives began presenting their brainstorming outcomes at 03:45 p.m. (each group was allocated a maximum of 15 minutes).

Starting at 06:00 p.m, a networking party took place, featuring enjoyable activities organized by the International Affairs Division to foster stronger interactions among all participants. This created a positive and memorable experience for the 2024 International Affairs Networking event, KU international affairs network is set to play an essential role in advancing Kasetsart Universitys path toward internationalization.

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 09:30 a.m., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath summarized the draft internationalization strategy for Kasetsart University and officially closed the seminar, along with Mrs. Hathaitus Semchuchot, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division. Many participants suggested that the next seminar include training sessions on the use of information technology, language skills development, and skills for working in international relations.
