On 7 September 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the meeting room 9, on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building at Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs (in place of Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President) presided over to welcome and deliver the welcoming remarks, along with administrators and faculty members, consisting of Assistant Professor Dr. Methee Kaewnern, Deputy Dean for Administration, Faculty of Fisheries; Associate Professor Dr. Wanwimol Klaypradit, Deputy Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries; Assistant Professor Dr. Yaowapha Waiprib, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries; and personnel of the International Affairs Division welcomed the delegation from Ocean University of China (OUC), the People's Republic of China, consisting of Professor Li Qi, Dean of College of Fisheries and Professor Li Jingyu, Acting Director of Sino-Thai Center on Marine and Fishery Sciences, on the occasion of their official visit to Kasetsart University.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs welcomed and was delighted to support the opportunity to build an educational partnership between Kasetsart University and the Ocean University of China (OUC), the People's Republic of China. Then, led to a video presentation of Kasetsart University and gave a broad overview of Kasetsart University and the project to establish the Faculty of Medicine next year, and further said that Kasetsart University has just entered its 80th year in February 2023.

Afterward, Professor Li Qi, Dean of the College of Fisheries, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and stated the purpose of the visit and to discuss cooperation; then led to a video presentation of Ocean University of China (OUC), People's Republic of China.  He mentioned that the cooperation between the two universities, especially with the Faculty of Fisheries, has been very successful. Although there have been disruptions from the COVID-19 virus over the past few years.  Therefore, the delegation from the Ocean University of China (OUC), People's Republic of China, has scheduled to visit the Faculty of Fisheries at Kasetsart University Bang Khen Campus to discuss with administrators and faculty members of the Faculty of Fisheries about the dual degree program between OUC and Master Degree of Science (Fishery Science and Technology) (International Program) and the Graduate School, Kasetsart University as well as discussing other collaborative activities such as joint research projects, and etc.

In conclusion, the two universities are pleased to support the implementation of cooperation in the above-mentioned areas, especially with the Faculty of Fisheries in establishing a dual degree program together and expanding the collaboration in other fields in the future. The two sides were satisfied with today's meeting and could develop into technical cooperation in the near future.
