Damrong Sripraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, graciously
delivered the welcoming remarks for the delegation attending the preparatory
meeting for the Thailand - Japan Student Science Fair 2025
(TJ-SSF 2025). The delegates were warmly
received by university executives, faculty members, including Asst Prof. Dr.
Krit Won-in, Vice President for Innovation and Social Missions; Assoc. Prof.
Dr. Chatree Faikhamta, Deputy Dean for
Research and Creativity, Faculty of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thidaporn
Supapakorn, Assistant Dean for Science Scholarship Development, Faculty of
Science, and staff from the International Affairs Division, on the occasion of
their official visit to Kasetsart University.
The Thailand-Japan Student
Science Fair 2025 (TJ-SSF 2025)
is scheduled to be held from 16 to 20
December 2025 at Princess Chulabhorn Science
High School Pathum Thani, with participation from students representing
Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools across the country, as well as partner
schools in Thailand and Japan. The fair aims to foster collaboration in science
and technology education between Thailand and Japan.
This meeting highlighted the
shared commitment between the Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools and
Kasetsart University in enhancing the scientific potential of Thai students at
the international level. It also aims to encourage mutual learning among Thai
and Japanese students through academic and cultural exchange activities, which
are instrumental in shaping the future scientific and technological workforce
of the nation.
In this regard, the Faculty of
Science and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University, as the key
supporting units, are pleased to serve as mentors by providing guidance and
assistance in all relevant aspects of fully organizing the Thailand-Japan
Student Science Fair 2025 (TJ-SSF 2025),
especially 1. The organization of the exhibition of science and technology
works 2. The organization of the conference and presentation of
educational works by Thai and Japanese administrators and teachers (TJ-ELS 2025)
in the following areas:
presentation topics, Thai speakers, abstract screening (Peer Review) and
qualified committee members expressing their opinions, which Dr. Damrong
Sripraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, has assigned the relevant
faculties to proceed with and coordinate further.
The delegation comprised 16
representatives from the Advisory Committee on the Development of Princess
Chulabhorn Science High Schools, the Office of the Basic Education Commission
(OBEC), faculty members from Chulalongkorn University, and administrators,
teachers, and coordinators from Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Pathum
Thani.
This meeting marks another
significant step in strengthening the collaboration between Kasetsart
University and the Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools to promote
international academic activities that nurture the potential of Thai youth in
science and technology. It also sets a foundation for a long-term and
sustainable academic partnership between Thailand and Japan.
