On 25 July
2023 at 10.00 a.m., in meeting room 9 on the 2nd floor of
the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building at Kasetsart
University Bangkhen Campus, Associate Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice
President for International Affairs presided over to deliver the welcoming
remarks, along with administrators and faculty members, consisting of Associate
Professor Dr. Amnart Poapolathep, (D.V.M.) Dept. of Pharmacology, Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine; Assistant Professor Dr. Aksorn Saengtienchai
(D.V.M.), Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Assistant
Professor Dr. Patchima Sithisarn (D.V.M.), Department of Veterinary Public
Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Kraisiri Khidkhan (D.V.M., M.S.,
Ph.D.), Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; and
personnel of the International Affairs Division welcomed a delegation from the International
Division, University of Pisa, Italy led by Dr. Adio Terranova along with Dr.
Anna Maria Pulina and Dr. Marco Bargagna on the occasion of their official
visit to Kasetsart University.
Associate
Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs
welcomed and was delighted to support the opportunity to build an educational
partnership between Kasetsart University and the University of Pisa, Italy, and
sincerely hope that there will be a cooperation project between each other
soon. On this occasion, Dr. Anna Maria Pulina from the International
Division, University of Pisa, Italy, expressed her gratitude for a warm welcome
and informed informed the objectives of the visit which aims to discuss the
exchange of cooperation and to expand the scope of academic cooperation between
the two universities in the future. Later, Dr. Adio Terranova, an International
Relations and Admissions Officer at the University of Pisa presented an
overview of the University of Pisa, Italy, and discussed the Erasmus+
scholarship, where both universities have signed an MOU agreement on the
Erasmus+ scholarship to exchange personnel and graduate students of Kasetsart
University and the University of Pisa, Italy for the past years during 2017
-2019 and update information for 2024 – 2025 of both Key Action 1 & 2 and Other
Opportunities: Erasmus Mundus Partnerships. Dr. Anna Maria Pulina presented
further on the role and duty of the International Division, University of
Pisa, Italy, which focuses on promoting both domestic and international cooperation,
especially in student & staff mobility, promoting academic collaboration
with partner institutions around the world, promoting education and research
mobility globally in various fields, promoting of submitting the proposal
project for funding from the European Commission under the Erasmus framework,
promoting of individual identity and globalization of the University of Pisa, and
promoting social and cultural exchange in cooperation, etc.
The meeting
discussed various issues that share common interests, such as support for the
exchange of students, and faculty staff for teaching and learning in veterinary
medicine and other fields; promoting research and innovation of various
departments between the faculties of veterinary medicine of both universities, other
issues such as promoting to apply for an Erasmus+ Credit Mobility scholarship
to receive an exchange or bilateral short-term research and other
collaborations including organizing summer school, duo degree or double degree,
conferences, joint publications, etc. Both sides were satisfied with today's
meeting and could develop into academic cooperation shortly.
