UU is a national university in Japan, founded in 1949 through
the merger of 3 colleges: Utsunomiya Agricultural and
Forestry College (founded in 1922),
Tochigi Normal School (founded in 1873),
and Tochigi Normal School for Youth (founded in 1922). Its main campus is the Mine Campus, with another being the
Takaragi Campus. The purpose of this visit to KU is to
discuss the online “International Career Seminar,” a 3-day seminar that offers
Japanese and international students the opportunity to develop their global
talents.
The seminar is divided into 2 formats: A Japanese-language
session and an English-language session. Participants can choose either format (those
choosing the Japanese-language session should have a Japanese proficiency level
of N3 or higher). Participants who complete the seminar will receive a
certificate as proof of participation. UU will send an invitation to KU in June
2025, and the seminar is scheduled to be held in September 2025. Asst. Prof.
Dr. rer. soc. Supapatpimol Simlee is more than willing to coordinate with
relevant departments to prepare the selection process for participating
students.
