On Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 09:00 a.m., in Meeting Room 2, 2nd floor, Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, Acting President of Kasetsart University along with KU administrators, namely Asst. Prof. Dr. Thongrob Ruenbanthoeng, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Assoc. Prof. Wanwipa Vongsangnak, Dean of Kasetsart University International College (KUIC); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Donludee Jaisut, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Agriculture; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wandee Kasemsukpipat, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Education; Mrs. Hathaitus Semchuchot, Acting Director of International Affairs Division; and IAD representatives welcomed administrators from Yangzhou University (YZU), China, namely Professor Dr. DING Jianning, President; Wang Dingyong, Dean, College of Humanities; ZHANG Yin, Director, International Office; DAI Yuqin, Director, Office of Academic Development; ZHENG Gang, Director, Center for Education and Teaching Evaluation; Ms. Ning Zhou, student of the Faculty of Science; and Ms. Youluan Jiang, student of the Faculty of Science.

A delegation from YZU visited Kasetsart University to pay a courtesy call to Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat and award the memorial plate, "YZU-KU Student Exchange Base," as KU is a precious and outstanding strategic partner in terms of study-abroad destination for YZU students. In 2023, the President of Kasetsart University and administrators visited YZU to renew the MoU and sign a student exchange agreement.

Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat stated that Kasetsart University will send scientists to study carbon neutrality at YZU within the next year. He also proposed organizing a symposium once a year, as YZU’s academic programs, such as the Faculty of Agriculture, are quite similar to those of Kasetsart University. Additionally, he extended an invitation to attend a music performance by students from the Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University in Suzhou and Xi'an. In response, Professor Dr. DING Jianning mentioned that YZU plans to send more exchange students to Kasetsart University and expand the scope of collaboration even further.

During the discussion, 2 students from YZU who received scholarships from Kasetsart University to study in the Faculty of Science introduced themselves to the university administrators. After the discussion, both sides exchanged souvenirs and took group photos to commemorate the occasion. Additionally, Professor Dr. DING Jianning warmly presented souvenirs to all participants.
