Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University and Dr. Elnor C. Roa, Chancellor of the Mindanao State University at Naawan, the Philippines, signed the MOU, promoting the mutual co-operation in the areas of academic and research on November 20, 2023, at the meeting room no. 9, 2nd floor, Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center.  There were also delegates of the Mindanao State University at Naawan, namely Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan, Director, Office of International Affairs and Linkages, Dr. Ruby C. Gonzales, Director for Research, Prof. Mariefe B. Quinones, Director for Extension, and Dr. Fernand F. Fagutao, Faculty member/ Researcher, joining in this ceremony and having a discussion with administrators and members of Kasetsart University. The collaboration between both universities was introduced by Associate Professor Dr. Sasimanas Unajak, Director of KU-VBIC (Vaccine and Biologic Innovation Center), and a faculty member of Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University.  KU-VBIC, launched in June 2022 as the first vaccine hub for agriculture of Thailand, has been implemented by research partners within Kasetsart University, namely Faculty of Science, Faculty of Fisheries, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Technology, and Kasetsart Agriculture and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute (KAPI).  For the continuous development of KU-VBIC, it was significant to getting involved with international partners, among of which were higher education institutions in Southeast Asia.
