On 15
November 2023 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m. (Thailand time) in the IAD meeting room, 10th floor,
the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart
University, the International Affairs Division organized the Virtual University
Student Ambassador Seminar 2023 under the topic “What
skills are needed to be a Student Ambassador?” by inviting Associate Professor
Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs presided over
the opening ceremony and delivered the opening speech of the seminar.
The
students who participated in the Virtual University Student Ambassador Seminar 2023 were representatives of Student Ambassadors from 3 universities, consisting of 12 Student
Ambassadors or KUSAm from Kasetsart University; 4 Student
Ambassadors from Konkuk University, South Korea, and 16
Student Ambassadors from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Also,
each university has international affairs personnel participating in this
activity, including Mr. Harfiz Rasul Mohamad from Universiti Kebangsaan
Malaysia (UKM), Ms. Stephanie from Konkuk University, Mrs. Neeracha
Kalantakasuwan, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional Level (Head of
Section); Miss Suthinee Sutthisri, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional
Level, International Scholarships and Opportunities Section; Miss Nithikarn
Pongsathidporn, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional Level; Mrs. Montana
Boonpooh Wudjindakul, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional Level; and Mr.
Wisit Thammasri, Audio-Visual Technical Officer, Professional Level,
Information and International Communication Section Kasetsart University.
On this occasion, Associate
Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs,
Kasetsart University mentioned that it is a great pleasure and honor that the
International Affairs Division is hosting the 1st Virtual University
Student Ambassador Seminar and received a very good response in participating
from Konkuk University, Korea and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia.
The objective of this online seminar is to create opportunities to exchange
knowledge and experiences together including increasing opportunities for joint
activities both domestically and abroad in the future between Student
Ambassadors of Kasetsart University, Konkuk University, South Korea, and
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Hopefully, our three
universities will have the opportunity to join in activities together and
Kasetsart University would like to welcome Student Ambassadors from both
universities soon.
The keynote speaker and moderator
of this seminar is Dr. Narudol Samchuchot, Faculty of Education at Kasetsart
University. Then there was a 15-minute presentation from
each university starting with a presentation of Konkuk University International
Student Volunteers (ISVs), South Korea led by Mr. Seokje Hyun, Staff
International Programs, Office of International Affairs; Ms. Jenna Choi,
Student, Chemical Engineering and Ms. Lynn Park, Student, Biomedical Science
and Engineering, followed by a
presentation of Miss Kuroshini Sathurugnan Saravanan, Student, Social Sciences
and Humanities representative of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Student
Ambassador (UKMbassadors) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The last
sequence was a presentation from Miss Thachakorn Srisomwong, Department of
Zoology. Faculty of Science, 4th year, and a KU Student Ambassador or KUSAm#4
as a representative of KU to share experiences about ideas and work of KUSAm
including the role and contribution of student ambassadors of Kasetsart
University and spoke about the program of KU Student Ambassador or KUSAm which
develops student potential to support Kasetsart University's international work
both domestically and abroad.
