Acting Director of International Affairs Division, Foreign Relations Officer,
Senior Professional Level; Miss Prattana Thirakiettikun, Head of the
International Collaboration and Networking Section; and personnel of the
International Affairs Division welcomed the official visit to Kasetsart
University of Dr. Helen O'Sullivan, Deputy Head of Department in Sport and
Event Management, Bournemouth University, United Kingdom; Ms. Yeyen Sinarta,
South East Asia, Taiwan, South Korea Marketing & Communications,
Bournemouth University, United Kingdom; and Mr. Orkun Thonghong, Marketing
Manager of Brit Education UK Company Limited.
On this
occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for
International Affairs at Kasetsart University, welcomed and mentioned that
Kasetsart University is pleased to collaborate academically with Bournemouth
University, United Kingdom to develop various activities that are mutually
beneficial for students of both universities and thank you for visiting
Kasetsart University today and hope to initiate to build on academic
cooperation in many fields and activities.
Dr. Helen
O’Sullivan, Deputy Head of Department in Sport and Event Management, and Ms.
Yeyen Sinarta, South East Asia, Taiwan, South Korea Marketing &
Communications, Bournemouth University, United Kingdom have jointly provided
information about Bournemouth University, United Kingdom by Dr. Helen
O'Sullivan, Deputy Head of Department in Sport and Event Management,
Bournemouth University, United Kingdom, has stated that the Department of Sport
and Event Management, Bournemouth University wishes to create a collaborative
curriculum development partnership between Bournemouth University and Kasetsart
University to benefit students who wish to study in the Sport Management and
Event Management program at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. The meeting
discussed cooperation in joint curriculum development focusing on faculties and
fields of study with similar curricula, such as the Faculty of Business
Administration, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Humanities at the Department
of Tourism and Hospitality, etc.
In
conclusion, the meeting discussed academic cooperation and joint activities
such as student exchange programs, especially in 3+ 1 exchange programs for both
inbound and outbound students with credit transfer, online learning, visiting
scholars, research and publishing collaboration, cooperation in joint research
laboratories, scholarships in various forms, such as research scholarship in
economics and business administration, PhD scholarships and post-doctoral scholarships,
co-host the annual International Joint Seminar & Symposium, etc. The
meeting is pleased with today’s discussion. They see an opportunity to expand
academic cooperation between the two universities to cover many fields of study
and more diverse activities in the future as well as initiating the Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) for academic cooperation.
Bournemouth
