On 15 August 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at Kampol Adulwit Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building. Professor Dr. Peerasak Srinives, Vice Chairman of Kasetsart University Council, presided over to deliver welcoming remarks along with KU administrators and faculty members, including Associate Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Damrong Sripraram, Vice President for Administrative; Associate Professor Dr. Apichart Rodchanarowan, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and the Vice Dean for Human Resources at the Faculty of Engineering; Assistant Professor Dr. Nitikorn Phoosuwan, Acting Head of Department of Public Health Administration and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Public Health at Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus; and personnel of the International Affairs Division welcomed the official visit to Kasetsart University of the Governor of Lanao Del Norte, Republic of the Philippines, Mrs. Imeda Quibranza Dimaporo, Provincial Governor and 37 delegations, to study the Best Practices of KU in agriculture.

Professor Dr. Peerasak Srinives, Vice Chairman of Kasetsart University Council, welcomed Mrs. Imeda Quibranza Dimaporo, Provincial Governor, and the delegations on their official visits and is pleased to support the opportunity for cooperation in education between Kasetsart University and the Governor of Lanao Del Norte Province, Republic of the Philippines. Then, the KU administrator led a video presentation of Kasetsart University and gave a broad overview of Kasetsart University as a large public university consisting of 4 campuses and the Suphanburi Campus Establishment Project and the Faculty of Medicine Establishment Project, and further said that Kasetsart University just entered its 80^th year in February 2023. Kasetsart University was the first public university in Thailand to offer courses in agriculture. At present, Kasetsart University offers higher education programs in various fields, both bachelor’s degrees and graduate levels according to international standards.

On this occasion, Mrs. Imeda Quibranza Dimaporo, Provincial Governor, expressed her gratitude for this warm welcome and introduced a video presentation and provided information about Lanao Del Norte Province, the Republic of the Philippines, as well as mentioning that the purpose of this visit is to study on the Best Practices of KU in agriculture because Kasetsart University is Thailand's most prominent and leading research university in Agricultural Sciences. Lanao Del Norte, the Republic of the Philippines, is an agri-fishery and eco-cultural-sports tourism province in the Northern Mindanao region. Its capital is Tubod. The governor is committed to fostering partnerships that contribute to the development of our area and enhance the quality of education and livelihood for citizens and acknowledges the significance of benchmarking exercises in improving our governance practices and educational systems. Kasesart University is an ideal partner for such initiatives. The governor mentioned their interest in exploring areas related to green technology, the halal food industry, tourism, and health & wellness. The delegation from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte visited Kasetsart University and Thailand during 15 – 16 August 2023. In addition, the delegation from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte wishes to have the opportunity to strengthen the relationship and discuss matters of mutual interest with the executives of the university, including learning more about Thai culture and exploring opportunities for collaboration and cooperation with Kasetsart University in the future.

The delegation from Lanao Del Norte Province, the Republic of the Philippines participated in the lecture presentation from Associate Professor Dr. Apichart Rodchanarowan, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and the Vice Dean for Human Resources at the Faculty of Engineering, on the topic of Green Technology (UI Green), mentioned that Kasetsart University confirms its status as a Green University by being ranked No. 1 for two consecutive years in the UI Green Metric 2022 World Green University Ranking and then, followed by the online lecture presentation from Assistant Professor Dr. Nitikorn Phoosuwan, Acting Head of Department of Public Health Administration and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Public Health at Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus in the topic of Management of Public Health.

In summary, delegations exchanged views, asked questions, and sought clarifications in particular interest to the aforementioned from speakers, including Associate Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs kindly provided information on some issues such as the implementation of the KU U2T project,  or the university to community sub-districts aiming to promote and support the university to be able to use knowledge, research, technology, innovation, and resources of the university in developing communities and countries; and KU Policy Implementation, etc. The delegation was grateful and received complete information and said that today’s benchmarking or the process of exchanging knowledge and experiences and best practices with Kasetsart University this time is considered beneficial and can be applied to organizations of the Province of Lanao Del Norte, Republic of the Philippines in future issues of interest. After that, the delegation visited and had lunch at the Institution of Food Research and Product Development (IFFRPD) followed by a Campus Tour and visited The Premium@KU, which sells agricultural products and food with quality standards through selection and has outstanding characteristics of Kasetsart University before departing.
