During 16-19 July 2023, Assistant
Professor Dr. Tanin Kongsila, Vice President for the University Council Affairs
and Human Resource Development, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Suphasit
Sitthaphanit, Dean of Faculty of Natural Resource and Agro-Industry, Assistant
Professor Dr. Puvadol Doydee, Faculty of Natural Resources and Agro-Industry; and
Dr. Weerasin Sonjaroon, lecturer, College of Integrative Sciences attended the
Inauguration Ceremony of the CIAERA & 2023 Asia Hub Annual meeting in
Hainan Province, People's Republic of China.
The event was organized to mark
the first launch of the Consortium for Innovations in Agricultural Education
and Research in Asia (CIAERA) network, with Nanjing Agricultural University as
the main coordinator and founder of the network and is hosting the 2023 Asia
Hub Annual Meeting as a forum for exchanging knowledge in agricultural science
and educational innovation. This will lead to the continuous development of new
talents in the development of Asian agriculture. Participants from more than 60
universities, institutes, and organizations both in Thailand and abroad in
Asia. In this regard, Assistant Professor Dr. Tanin Kongsila, Vice President
for the University Council Affairs and Human Resource Development represented
Kasetsart University to receive a plaque for being a member of the CIAERA
Association and being a keynote speaker on the topic of Post-pandemic
international collaborations in research and education in the new era.
Moreover, the KU delegation
joined Asia Hub for bilateral talks with Mr. Hu Feng, Vice President of Nanjing
Agricultural University, one of China's well-known universities, in order to
continue good cooperation between KU and NAU, including student exchanges,
scholarships, research, and others, especially in the agricultural field. The
delegation also visited the Sanya Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University,
NAU's agricultural research station in Sanya City, Hainan Province (Hainan
Island), a research site used as a student internship station.
