On 22 June 2023 at 1.30 p.m., in the IAD meeting room 10, 10th floor, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Associate Professor Dr. Buncha Chinnasri, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Deputy Director of Kasetsart University International College (KUIC); honored to preside over and deliver the welcome remarks along with Miss Prattana Thirakiettikun, Head of the International Collaboration and Networking Section; and personnel of the International Affairs Division welcomed the official visit to Kasetsart University of the delegation from the University of the Philippines Los Baños Graduate School, Republic of the Philippines, led by Dr. Romilo Jose D. Flores, Associate Dean, University of the Philippines Los Baños Graduate School. (UPLB Graduate School) and 5 members namely Dr. Rhea L. Gumasing, Assistant College Secretary: Ms. Marie Cris L. Supleto, Administrative Officer; Ms. Mayel C. Gregorio, Administrative Assistant; Ms. Anabell A Ocampo, Administrative Officer; and Ms. Karen C. Devera, Records Assistant.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Buncha Chinnasri, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Deputy Director of Kasetsart University International College (KUIC) welcomed the delegation on their official visits and is pleased to support the opportunity for cooperation in education between Kasetsart University and the University of the Philippines Los Baños Graduate School, Republic of the Philippines. Then, Associate Professor Dr. Buncha Chinnasri provided information and introduced Kasetsart University to the delegation of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

Today’s purpose of the University of the Philippines Los Baños Graduate School, Republic of the Philippines in visiting Kasetsart University was to discuss cooperation and exchange of knowledge between the two institutions especially benchmarking to improve the organization. In addition, the delegations from the UPLB Graduate School are also interested in gaining a better understanding of the policies, procedures, and best practices of Kasetsart University. This is considered an opportunity for the delegation from the UPLB Graduate School to explore partnerships where possible with Kasetsart University.

There are many issues that UPLB Graduate School is interested in learning from Kasetsart University, for example:

-          Discuss the best practices that KU is doing with regard to the promotion of programs, digitalization of admission and enrollment, student records management, student affairs, faculty development and support, alumni affairs, scholarship administration, fund utilization, and campus sustainability initiatives

-          Explore potential collaborative activities/exchanges between UPLB and KU

-          Visit offices in KU doing research related to agriculture, environment, development, and other related disciplines, and explore ways we can collaborate

-          Conduct a campus tour

In summary, the meeting exchanged the above information and asked additional questions from Associate Professor Dr. Buncha Chinnasri, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Deputy Director of Kasetsart University International College (KUIC). The delegation received a lot of information and said that Benchmarking or the process of exchanging knowledge and experiences and best practices with Kasetsart University this time is considered useful and can be applied to UPLB organizations in further areas of interest.
