Kasetsart University welcomed the delegation from NUS-ISS for an academic collaboration discussion

On Tuesday, 18 February 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Kasetsart University (KU) hosted a delegation from the National University of Singapore - Institute of Systems Science (NUS-ISS) at the 10th-floor meeting room of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Miss Pratthana Thirakiettikun, Head of the International Collaboration and Networking Sections; and staff members of the International Affairs Division, welcomed the NUS-ISS delegation, led by Mr. Edgar Tai, Senior Manager and Mr. Ryan Goh, Assistant Director, on their official visit to Kasetsart University.

 

Their visit aimed to explore potential academic collaborations between the two institutions, particularly in developing articulation pathways for KU students interested in pursuing a master's degree in Information Technology (IT) at NUS-ISS. Discussions also covered areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering, key expertise of NUS-ISS.

 

During the meeting, attendees watched an introductory video about Kasetsart University, followed by a presentation by the NUS-ISS representatives. Mr. Edgar Tai expressed gratitude for the warm reception and introduced NUS-ISS and NUS SCALE, which focuses on lifelong learning and continuous skill development. NUS SCALE offers training programs and degree courses in business, technology, and innovation to help learners stay competitive in a rapidly evolving job market, as well as scholarships, internships, and student and staff exchange opportunities.

 

Established in 1981, NUS-ISS specializes in IT education and research and is ranked 8th globally and 2nd in Asia in the QS World University Rankings for 2025 and 2023, respectively. These rankings reflect NUS's excellence in academics and research on a global scale.

 

This meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening academic collaboration between Kasetsart University and NUS-ISS, paving the way for greater educational opportunities for students and faculty of both institutions in the future.
