Vice President for Research and Internationalization discussed research collaboration with the delegation from NUS-CNCS, Singapore

On 20 February 2025, at 09:00 a.m., in the IAD Meeting Room, 10th Floor, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and Internationalization and Dr. Wongsatorn Phumphuang, Lecturer from the Department of Forest Biology, Faculty of Forestry discussed with delegation from  NUS Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions (NUS-CNCS), Singapore, led by Prof. Lian Pin Koh, Vice President (Sustainability and Resilience), PI Carbon Integrity SG; Asst. Prof. Hao Tang, Co-PI Carbon Integrity SG; Dr. Ranee Lorica, Senior Research Fellow, Programme Manager Carbon Integrity SG; Zeng Jingzhi, Thailand Lead, Research Associate Carbon Integrity SG; and Leah Mary Lilly Denoun, Drone Lead, Research Associate Carbon Integrity SG.


Following Kasetsart University's signing of an MoU with NUS-CNCS by Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat on September 7, 2024, negotiations for research collaboration on carbon neutrality and sustainability ensued. Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod presented on long-term ecological research (LTER) in Thailand, with a particular focus on tropical rain forests, citing the Mae Klong Watershed Research Station in Kanchanaburi Province as an example.


NUS-CNCS proposed an exchange of research data between the two institutions to analyze findings and explore further collaborative research opportunities. They also invited Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod to visit NUS-CNCS in Singapore for additional information exchange and to meet with the center’s researchers. Following the discussions, Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod presented a token of appreciation to Prof. Lian Pin Koh.
