KU welcomed high school students and staff from API School, Siem Reap, Cambodia

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Office of Agricultural Museum and Culture, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with International Affairs Division staff, welcomed a group of 15 high school students and staff from API School, Siem Reap, Cambodia, during their visit to Kasetsart University.

 

The students and staff from API School, Siem Reap, Cambodia, visited Kasetsart University to gather information to help them decide to study in Thailand. The group arrived in Thailand on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and visited Chulalongkorn University and Panyapiwat Institute of Management on Wednesday, November 13. They then visited Kasetsart University and Sripatum University on Thursday, November 14, followed by a visit to Thammasat University on Friday, November 15, before returning to Cambodia on November 16, 2024.

 

After Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad delivered the welcoming remarks, Miss Methawee Sarnkong, Foreign Relations Officer, provided an overview and information on the international programs at the university. Following this, a KU Student Ambassador (KUSAm), Mr. Surathin Srichok from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, shared his experiences as a Kasetsart University student. Additionally, Ms. Vichetleaphea Kham, a student under the Royal Project under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Scholarship, shared her experiences and feelings about being a part of Kasetsart University.

 

The group then toured KU by university shuttle bus, passing various faculties, including the Faculty of Fisheries and the Faculty of Architecture, as well as facilities such as the main cafeteria, the main library, and KU Milk, to get a sense of the campus environment. Before concluding the visit, the group purchased KU products as souvenirs at the KU Book Store.
