On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 08:30
a.m. - 03:00 p.m., in front of the Rapee Sagarik Building
at Kasetsart University, the Kasetsart University International College (KUIC) hosted the "KU
International Food Fair 2024 in SDGs Better Tomorrow." This
event aimed to encourage Thai and international students, as well as faculty
and staff, to meet, socialize, exchange cultures, and strengthen good
relationships with one another.
The International Affairs Division also participated in this
event at Booth No. 20, where we showcased Thai culture
through a selection of delicious ice cream flavors, including Thai Tea, Thai
Iced Dessert, Santol, Passion Fruit, Strawberry Yogurt, and Mixed Berries, for
just 20 baht per scoop. Additionally, there were nearly 30
food booths featuring a variety of international cuisines from countries such
as Canada, Myanmar, France, Singapore, China, Japan, and Australia.
At 9:00 a.m., Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Apisit Songsasen, Vice President
for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning, honored the event by presiding over
the opening ceremony. Beyond the food booths, the event
featured cultural performances by international students, including
performances from Indonesia, Japan, China, and Thailand, in that order,
showcasing the rich cultural diversity within Kasetsart University. There was also an exclusive cooking demonstration by
Grovimmbom SmokeSwagen, one of the contestants on The Restaurant War Thailand,
a cooking show where street food vendors compete for a prize of 1
million baht. Additionally, there were fun
activities led by international students for visitors to enjoy.
