On Thursday, July 11th, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Kasetsart
University held an online lecture titled “Business Model Canvas and Social Innovations”
via ZOOM. The webinar, conducted in English by Acting Second Lieutenant Dr. Jul
Thanasrivanitchai from the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration,
Kasetsart University, marked the second webinar under the “KU AIdeation
Challenge 2024: Expanding your potential to promote sustainable and resilient
societies.” The first webinar, “Design Thinking: Creativity and Ideation,” took
place on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.
Acting Second Lieutenant Dr. Jul Thanasrivanitchai highlighted
the significance of the Business Model Canvas in enhancing business success,
detailing its key components and principles. He also provided examples of
successful Business Model Canvases from Thailand and abroad and discussed how
artificial intelligence can be applied to develop the Business Model Canvas.
This knowledge aims to equip participants interested in the competition with
the ability to integrate their understanding of design thinking and Business
Model Canvas with their expertise, fostering the creation of social innovations
to present to the judging panel. The first round of submissions will be
accepted from Tuesday, July 16th - Saturday, August 31st, 2024.
With an engaging and informative topic and the opportunity for
participants to ask questions, the webinar saw a large turnout from both
competition hopefuls and the general public. The Business Model Canvas, which
was the focus of the session, is versatile and can be applied to various
situations beyond business operations, including securing funding and
presenting projects.
