Chonnam National University (CNU) is the number one university among Flagship Korean National Universities (NU10), renowned for its credibility and prestige in South Korea. Established in 1952, CNU has campuses in Gwangju and Yeosu, respectively. As of October 2022, the university boasts nearly 30,000 students, including almost 1,500 international students (as of April 2022). There are many facilities for students within the university such as a digital library, sports center, and dormitory. Kasetsart University and CNU have previously signed a memorandum of understanding.

The representatives from CNU have expressed interest in academic collaboration with KU. This includes dual degree programs under the Faculty of Business Administration, a staff mobility program, and a symposium. Both parties agreed that initiating the staff mobility program at CNU in January, during South Korea’s beautiful winter season, could be a good start for collaboration. Additionally, CNU representatives are interested in sending students to participate in the Summer Camp. After discussions, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanat Pensupar presented a souvenir to Hyunsik Yoon, followed by a group photo session to mark the occasion.
