KU Welcomes Delegation from Yangzhou University, China

On Friday, May 7th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., in Meeting Room No. 9, 2nd Floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Associate Professor Dr. Wanwipa Vongsangnak, Assistant to the President of Kasetsart University, chaired the welcoming ceremony. The event was attended by KU administrators and lecturers, including Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Vice Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Engineering; and other KU faculty members. They welcomed and discussed academic collaboration with Dr. Han Jie, Vice President of Yangzhou University, People's Republic of China, during their visit to Kasetsart University.

 

Before the academic discussions on agriculture between Kasetsart University and Yangzhou University, both sides exchanged brief overviews. Dr. Han Jie highlighted that on April 26th, 2023, a delegation of 13 scholars from the Department of Student Development at Kasetsart University had the opportunity to visit Yangzhou University for learning purposes. During this visit, administrators from both institutions met and participated in the conference titled "Workshop on Deepening Education Cooperation and Exchange in the New Era" in the People's Republic of China. This conference facilitated academic discussions and aimed to establish mechanisms for collaboration in education and scientific innovation. Yangzhou University aims to support collaboration with KU in academics, research, and culture, seeking to explore mutually beneficial opportunities.

 

Dr. Han Jie expressed interest in academic collaboration with KU, emphasizing educational cooperation, training in research for university staff and students, and scientific collaboration in various fields. KU administrators and lecturers agreed to support academic activities that promote diplomatic relations between the two universities. At the end of the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Wanwipa Vongsangnak presented a souvenir to Dr. Han Jie, and everyone participated in a group photo session.
