A courtesy visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand

On Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, at 01.30 p.m., Meeting Room No.9, 2nd floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University along with administrators, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kobsak Wanthongchai, Dean of Faculty of Forestry; Asst. Prof. Dr. Suriyan Tunkijjanukij, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kritsadapan Palakit, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Forestry; Miss Buntharika Trikomut, Head of Digital Production Section, Lifelong Learning Development Office; and representatives from the International Affairs Division welcomed H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand, and the representative from the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the occasion of third visiting Kasetsart University. H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye will complete his term as Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand in June 2024.

On Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, KU once welcomed H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye during his visit to discuss potential collaborations. Following the discussions, Kasetsart University granted a graduate scholarship to a Bangladeshi. The recipient, Mr. Sazu Sardar, is currently studying for a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism at the Faculty of Forestry, KU. Mr. Sazu Sardar is set to graduate by the end of 2024.

At the beginning of the discussion, KU administrators shared their vision for future collaborations. Although H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye will soon complete his term and return to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, he expressed hope that the strong relationship between Kasetsart University and the People's Republic of Bangladesh will continue, especially the student exchange programs between Kasetsart University and universities in Bangladesh. After the discussion, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat presented a souvenir to H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye, and all attendees took a group photo.
