A courtesy visit of Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Thailand and entrepreneurs from Federal Democratic Republic of Napal

 On Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at 02.30 p.m., at Meeting Room No. 9, 2nd floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University, along with the university’s administrators, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. rer. soc. Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanasin Tanompongphandh, Vice Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Economics, welcomed H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Thailand, and Mr. Khaga Raj Pandeya, First Secretary. The delegation also included Nepalese entrepreneurs who accompanied the ambassador to pay a courtesy visit to the university president. The discussions focused on exploring potential collaborations between Nepalese businesses and Kasetsart University.

 

 During the visit, H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to Thailand, expressed his gratitude to the President and university’s administrators for the warm welcome. This marks the Ambassador’s second visit to the university. Accompanying entrepreneurs from Federal Democratic Republic of Napal, specializing in herbal products and essential oils, stated that Nepal has advantageous terrain for cultivating temperate crops such as macadamia nuts and coffee. However, the knowledge of advanced technology, research, and innovation to enhance product value, develop packaging, and improve processing techniques is still needed. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat expressed his enthusiasm for supporting and collaborating with Nepal. He assured that Kasetsart University, with its skilled personnel and expertise, can offer training to Nepalese entrepreneurs to increase the value of their agricultural products.
