The KU Student Ambassador Training and Workshop Program or KU
Student Ambassador 2024 (KUSAm #6) program was organized by the International
Affairs Division from May 27th to 31st, 2024, at Room 408, 4th Floor, the
Office of Computer Services at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus. On May
27th, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the
President for International Affairs, delivered the welcoming remarks at the
opening ceremony of KUSAm 2024 Batch #6. The ceremony was attended by KU
administrators and lecturers, including Mrs. Hathaitus Semchuchot, Acting
Director of the International Affairs Division, Dr. Narudol Semchuchot, Faculty
of Education; Assistant Professor Dr. Prajya Ngamchan, Faculty of Liberal Arts
and Science from Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, and Lecturer
Rungruangjit Thongmee, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Management and Technology
Suphanburi Learning Area Administration Area, also attended and observed
throughout the training period.. The program welcomed 92 participants as
follows: Bang Khen Campus and Office Suphan Buri Learning Administration Area
45 students, Kamphaeng Saen Campus 6 students, Sriracha Campus 13 students and
Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus 24 students. However, in this
batch, there are 4 students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM),
Malaysia, joined the KUSAm 2024, which made a total of 92 students.
Participants engaged in various activities throughout the
program:
• "Let's Break the Ice" led by Dr. Narudol Semchuchot
from the Faculty of Education aimed to foster better understanding among
participants.
• "The Personality of KUSAm" presented by Ms. Pimlada
Lerdsiravatch, Speaker and Invited Lecturer from Bangkok University focused on
KU Student Ambassador’s Personalities.
• “Campus Tour by KU Student Ambassadors” conducted by a speaker, Mister Tirote Thingnuan, Faculty of Humanities at Kasetsart University, who led the students to the landmarks of KU and lectured all participants on how to lead campus tours as the student ambassador, the trip also including visits to the Office of Library, Hall of History, and Monument of Three Founders.
• "Public Speaking" delivered by Dr. Wannana
Soontornnaruerangsee, KU Senior Expert. The course aimed to enhance participants'
public speaking skills.
• “Building Confidence in Communicating in English” by Dr.
Narudol Semchuchot from the Faculty of Education focused on techniques to boost
confidence in English communication.
• “Communication of KU Student Ambassador’s Identity through
Social Media” presented by Mr. Surachai Suantubtim, a lecturer from Dhurakij
Pundit University who taught participants about identity communication through
social media.
• A study visit at Bang Kachao and participate in local
activities at Paked Temple, Phrapadang District, Samut Prakarn Province led by
Mrs. Prempri Trairat and Asst. Prof. Montathip Sommeechai from the Faculty of
Forestry. The students get into many community activities such as tie-dye
fabric making, forest trails, foot spa, and herbal compress preparation.
• A study visit at UN/ESCAP, United Nations and attended a
lecture on the overview of the UN and SDGs by Sara Zanetti, Christian
Mortelliti, and the Sustainable Development Team in Asia and the Pacific.
• The final project was assigned by Dr. Narudol Semchuchot. The
students made their final presentations divided into 12 groups of KUSAm about
creating their dream universities. The final project was the work of all KUSAm #6 to present how to
create 'Universities beyond the Time for Alpha Generation' in the presentation
of Project Pitching which consists of 1) University name 2) Philosophy 3)
Selling points 4) How does it serve generation alpha?
Participants expressed their positive impressions of the KUSAm
2024 Batch #6 program, highlighting its enjoyable nature, service-oriented
approach, and the friendships formed among participants and the IAD team
organizers. Lastly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the
President for International Affairs, awarded the jackets and certificates to
the 92 participants in the closing ceremony on May 31st, 2024, and a group
photo was taken to commemorate the event. The KU Student Ambassador - KUSAm #6 Training and Workshop
Program 2024 has ended beautifully and impressively. It is very proud that
Kasetsart University will have KU Student Ambassador or KUSAm #6, who have
knowledge and ability to represent the university and to participate in many
International activities in the future.
