TRITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development
Council) is a non-profit trade
promotion organization based in Taiwan, with its office in Thailand known as
the Taiwan Trade Center Bangkok. Supported by the
government, industry associations, and commercial organizations, TRITRA's
primary goal is to bolster the competitiveness of Taiwanese businesses and
manufacturers; and assist when encountering challenges in foreign markets. During this visit, administrators and entrepreneurs from
TRITRA aimed to exchange information regarding KU's successful educational
practices and explore opportunities for KU graduates to enter the workforce in
Taiwanese companies.
Director Emilie M. P. Chang
and Executive Officer Pei-Chi Lai from MOEA, leading the TRITRA and Taiwanese
delegation on this visit, expressed their delight at the warm welcome.
Subsequently, the delegation outlined the benefits of working in Taiwan and
elaborated on the initial procedures, ranging from work permits and visa
applications to applicant selection. Later, both parties engaged in discussions
and Q&A sessions. The delegation sought insights into research and
innovation institutions at Kasetsart University, particularly regarding using
Smart AI in work processes and the university's job fair initiatives.
Conversely, KU posed questions about the duration of internship programs in
Taiwan. Concluding the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad presented
souvenirs of appreciation to Director Emilie M. P. Chang and Executive Officer
Pei-Chi Lai and took group photos with all participants.
