On 21 June 2023, at 3:00 p.m. (Thailand time) in the IAD meeting room on the 10th floor, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University attended the online meeting hosted by the Council of Rector of Indonesia State University (CRISU) to organize the ASEAN Higher Education Conference 2023 or AHEC 2023 on the topic of "Higher Education: a Catalyst for Growth". The President of Kasetsart University was invited to present as a speaker in the online AHEC 2023 on the topic of “Sustainable Tourism Research and Curricula (In Supporting Mobility)” Kasetsart University is famous as one of the leaders in higher education in ASEAN. The President of Kasetsart University presented about 15 minutes for the Webinar: #3 Sustainable Tourism. The Webinar Series is part of AHEC 2023 as a pre-events - Communique Webinar Series between June and August 2023.

The Webinar Series has the agenda of presenting each ASEAN member, with various issues related to quality assurance and mobility amongst higher institutions in ASEAN member countries, related to industrial connectivity with higher education in innovating its digital transformation. This activity will provide educational leaders, experts, and professionals a platform to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in ensuring quality education and promoting the mobility of academic community members in the ASEAN region.

ASEAN Higher Education Conference 2023 or AHEC 2023 has objectives: to bring together Higher Education Institution leaders, lecturers, students, as well as government representatives and industry from the ASEAN countries to discuss strategic and collaborative measures related to the role of higher education as a catalyst for growth; and to provide a forum to connect or reconnect Higher Education Institutions with colleagues from other Higher Education Institutions in the ASEAN region, as well as with government and industry representatives.
