On 21 June 2023 at 1.30 p.m., in
meeting room 9 on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee
Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Dr.
Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University presided over to welcome
and attended the MOU signing ceremony between Kasetsart University and Josai
International University, Japan. Josai International University's executives
consisted of Dr. Kenji Sugibayashi, President, Josai International University;
Ms. Kayo Shinozaki, Josai International University, Deputy Director, Department
of International Affairs; Mr. Shin'ichi Taguchi, Josai University,
Administrative Director, International Education Center; Mr. Shigeru Ando,
Assistant to the President, Japan Aviation Academy; Dr. Bundit Sriputtangul,
Advisor to Japan Aviation Academy; Mr. Yosathon Tahon, Interpreter.
On this occasion, Dr. Chongrak
Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University along with executives and faculty
members of Kasetsart University, consisting of Associate Professor Dr. Anchasa
Pramuanjaroenkij, Academic Affairs, Kasetsart University International College
(KUIC); Lecturer Somchoke Ruengittinun, Department of Computer Science, the
Faculty of Science; Miss Prattana Thirakiettikun, Head of the International
Collaboration and Networking Section; and personnel from the International
Affairs Division welcomed the delegation from Josai International University,
Japan on the occasion of their visit to Kasetsart University to sign an MOU.
Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat,
President of Kasetsart University welcomed and congratulated today’s MOU
signing ceremony between Kasetsart University and between Kasetsart University
and Josai International University, Japan. Then, Dr. Kenji Sugibayashi,
President of Josai University, said that the purpose of this trip to Thailand
of the delegation from Josai International University is to pay respects to the
President of Kasetsart University along with the signing of an MOU for academic
cooperation and exchange views on the exchange program together. In this
regard, Lecturer Somchoke Ruengittinun, Department of Computer Science, the
Faculty of Science is a contact person coordinated by Josai International
University, Japan to establish cooperation with Kasetsart University. Josai
International University is a Japanese private university with three campuses:
Tokyo and Chiba. The undergraduate level consists of 7 faculties: Faculty of
Management and Information Sciences, Faculty of International Humanities, Faculty
of Social Work Studies, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Media Studies, Faculty
of Tourism, and Faculty of Nursing. Josai International University was
established in 1965 and is currently ranked 701-750 among Asian universities.
In preliminary coordination about student exchange activities, it was found
that Josai International University would be able to send students to exchange
in Thailand, and Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus, Sriracha Campus, and
Kamphaeng Saen Campus are ready and able to accept exchange students from Josai
International University and this has led to today’s MOU initiative.
In summary, both sides are
pleased to support the implementation of cooperation in the aforementioned with
the Faculty of Science, especially in computer science such as in academic and research
exchange, development of knowledge of personnel, and promoting the exchange of
students and faculty members both inbound and outbound, especially
in the field of health science, medical science, nursing, etc. Today’s signing
of the MOU will lead to very close cooperation between KU and Josai
International University, Japan shortly.
