On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and
Internationalization, and representatives from the International Affairs
Division attended an online meeting via Webex with the executives of the Food
and Fertilizer Technology Center (FFTC) for
the Asian and Pacific (ASPAC). Participants
included Dr. Su-San Chang, Director
of FFTC; Dr. Tomonari Watanabe, Deputy Director of FFTC;
Dr. Ray-Yu Yang, Food System
Specialist, FFTC; Mr. Kyonwon Lee, Agricultural Economist,
FFTC; and Mr. Ronald G. Mangubat,
Information Officer, FFTC. The meeting was held in
recognition of Prof. Dr. Dokrak
Marod's recent assignment as Kasetsart University, Thailand's representative on
the FFTC Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
Currently, there are a total of 12 committee members,
representing various countries: 2 from the Philippines, 2
from Japan, 2 from the Republic of Korea (South Korea), 2 from Taiwan, 1 from Malaysia, 1 from Indonesia, 1 from
Vietnam, and 1 from Thailand, represented by Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod.
Before the meeting began, all participants introduced
themselves. Then, Dr. Su-San Chang provided an overview of the FFTC, covering its
history since its establishment in 1970, its mission, vision, achievements in
2024, and upcoming projects for 2025. Following the
presentation, there was a Q&A session and an opportunity for suggestions
before concluding with a group photo.
