On Thursday 10th March 2022, at 10.30 A.M., in meeting room 10 on the 10th floor of Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, President of Kasetsart University along with Asst.Prof.Dr. Kampanat PENSUPAR, Vice President for International Affairs, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pradondet NILAGUPTA, Vice President for Digital Technology, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Chamaipak TAYJASANANT, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Aphichart RODCHANAROWAN, Assistant to the President for Quality Development, Professor Dr. Supa HANNONGBUA from Department of Chemistry, Professor Dr. Arinthip THAMCHAIPENET, Associate Dean for Research and International Affairs, Faculty of Science, Asst.Prof.Dr. Pakaket WATTUYA, Head of the Department of Computer Science, and Miss Araya BIJAPHALA, Director of International Affairs Division welcomed representatives from the EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI) project led by Mr. Aldo Dell ARICCIA, Team Leader along with Mr. Piyawut SRICHAIKUL, Director of NSTDA Supercomputer Center: ThaiSC; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss and continue the process of EU-ASEAN High-Performance Computing 2022 (HPC 2022) in memory of Asst.Prof.Dr. Putchong UTHAYOPAS, former Vice President for Digital Technology of Kasetsart University who passed away last year. Hence, Mr. Piyawut SRICHAIKUL gave crucial information about the background of the EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI) as regional cooperation between Europe and ASEAN. Furthermore, Mr. Aldo Dell ARICCIA depicted the potential of Thailand, especially Kasetsart University, as a representative of ASEAN to be a co-host this event during 5-9 December 2022.
Moreover, Mr. Aldo Dell ARICCIA also nominates Professor Dr. Supa HANNONGBUA from the Faculty of Science to be a Key Opinion Leader from Thailand in this event. In this sense, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT also states that Kasetsart University was delighted to collaborate with E-READI as a co-host and eager to support the event by providing expertise in the related topic to be a lecturer or keynote speaker, and also encourage both researcher and student of Kasetsart University to apply for this program.
