An online meeting with Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore

  On Thursday 7 October 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the meeting room on the 10th floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs, Kasetsart University presided over the online discussion meeting with Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, along with Associate Professor Dr. Anuvat Jangchud, Dean Faculty of Agro-Industry, Assistant Professor Dr. Sasitorn Tongchitpakdee, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Miss Araya Bijaphala, Director of International Affairs Division, Miss Pratthana Thirakiettikun, Head of International Cooperation, International Affairs Division, and personnel of the International Affairs Division, Kasetsart University joined in welcoming and attended an online discussion meeting with the delegations of Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, led by Dr. Henry Heng, CEO/ NYP International, and the management team including of Mr. Chai Kuek Heng, Director/ Student Care & Guidance, Miss Esther Bay, Director/ NYP International. , Mr. Chua Gim Peng, Director/ NYP International, Dr. Joel Lee, Director/ School of Applied Science, Mr. Yow Kum Pang, Deputy Director/ School of Applied Science, Mr. Allen Liew, Manager/ School of Applied Science. The main objective is to discuss on mutual cooperation and exchange in a variety of academic fields between Kasetsart University and Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore.

  The meeting was initiated by Dr. Henry Heng, CEO/ NYP International, welcomed and introduced the delegates from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, and thanked Kasetsart University administrators for participating in a discussion on today’s academic cooperation activities and presented information and background of Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore and NYP Student Oversea Program Center which located in cities such as Chengdu, Beijing and Harbin in China, as well as Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto in Japan. International students can earn study credits by spending up to two weeks attending general studies module classes at one of these centers. Then Dr. Henry Heng, CEO/ NYP International invited Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs, Kasetsart University to deliver his opening remarks and introduce the executives and representatives of KU who joined the online meeting. Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar gave a warm welcome speech and presented a brief VDO introduction of Kasetsart University.

  The Vice President for International Affairs said, “It is a great pleasure that both universities have been working together for a long time and willingly to continue support a joint academic cooperation between each other. KU is looking forward to our fruitful cooperation in the years to come. For example, jointly developing ideas into prototypes that can be transmitted or expanded more commercially, as well as promoting a mutual cooperation in research and development in public health.  Hopefully, the situation of COVID-19 pandemic would eventually improve in order to continue cooperation and activities including the exchange of learning between each other more effectively and continuously particularly between the Faculty of Agro-Industry, KU and the NYP School of Applied Science, such as exchanging students, faculty members, researchers, internship program, etc., and expand cooperation in other fields such as engineering, business administration, computer media, architectural design etc. The meeting also discussed and exchanged ideas on various issues and will follow up on the progress as well as coordinating with key responsible persons between NYP and Kasetsart University to initiate further cooperative activities. Subsequently, both sides discussed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), in which MOU had already signed by the President of Kasetsart University and the Principal of NYP. Finally, the meeting has ended successfully and very impressive on both sides.

  Nanyang Polytechnic was established in 1992 and is located in the northeastern suburb of Yio Chu Kang in Singapore. Its teaching in information and digital media is also the most prestigious in Singapore. Other disciplines that have been equally popular are health science, life science, business management and the Information and digital media. Nanyang Polytechnic is regarded as one of the best colleges in Asia for teaching interactive and digital media. It is also the first in Singapore to offer courses in Animation, Visual Effect, Game, Motion Graphic and Interactive Design.
