On Wednesday 12th February 2020, at 15.00 pm., in meeting room 9 on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center at Kasetsart University. Assistant Professor Dr. Buncha CHINNASRI, Assistant to the President along with Professor Matthew P. Downs, Senior Advisor for International Relations, Associate Professor Dr. Arinthip THAMCHAIPENET, Associate Dean for Research and International Affairs, Faulty of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Sasitorn TONGCHITPAKDEE Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Associate Professor Dr. Sarawood SUNGKAEW, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Forestry, Associate Professor Dr. Isriya BUNYASIRI, Faculty of Economics, Ms. Araya BIJAPHALA, Director of International Affairs Division, and university personnel welcomed 2 delegates from the Embassy of Ireland led by Mr. Edward CANAVAN, Deputy Head of Mission along with Mr. Cormac KAVANAGH, Senior Education Consultant; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss further collaboration between Kasetsart University and Ireland’s universities under the support of the Embassy of Ireland. Hence, Assistant Professor Dr. Buncha CHINNASRI gave welcoming remarks and overview information of Kasetsart University mentioning the official visit of H.E. Mr. Joseph Anthony COTTER to Kasetsart University on 11 July 2019 which depicted the strong relationship and determination of Ireland toward higher education. Simultaneously, Mr. Edward CANAVAN also provided crucial information of Ireland academic research which ranked among the top tier in the world, and also take this opportunity to introduce Mr. Cormac KAVANAGH who responsible for the academic affairs and has a vital role for establishing a joint degree or double degree program between two sides in the future.
Furthermore, representatives from various Faculties also join to discuss and exchange information on the International Program and English Program which Kasetsart University has to offers, depicted the increasing number of foreign students throughout the years such as Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurial Economics (EEBA), Kasetsart Integrated Tourism Management (KITMAN), etc. In this sense, Mr. Cormac KAVANAGH has gathered lots of information from this meeting to cooperate with Ireland’s universities and institutes for further collaboration very soon.
