KU welcomed administrators from the Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan

       On Tuesday 4th February 2020, at 13.30 pm., in room 9 on the 2nd floors of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Assistant Professor Dr. Buncha CHINNASRI, Assistant to the President along with Assistant Professor Dr. Naroon WARAMIT, Assistant to the President for Academic and International Affairs, Kamphaengsaen Campus, Ms. Araya BIJAPHALA, Director of the International Affairs Division, and Ms. Kanokwan LAOAROON, Senior International Relations Officer welcomed 2 delegates from Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan led by Dr. Yoichi SAKATA, Director of Center for International Program along with Ms. Naho GOTO, Assistant Chief Officer, Center for International Program; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

         The purpose of this visit was to discuss the establishment of the Tokyo University of Agriculture Thailand Branch Office here in Kasetsart Univesity. Hence, Assistant Professor Dr. Buncha CHINNASRI gave welcoming remarks and recommended a building that available for rent, which belongs to the Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Agriculture and currently under renovation. Moreover, Assistant Professor Dr. Naroon WARAMIT also suggested increasing the number of exchange students from 20 to 25 per year would be a mutual benefit to strengthen academic collaboration between two universities. Simultaneously, Dr. Yoichi SAKATA led the discussion to the topic of the Student Cotutelle Agreement for Doctoral Degree Students in the future.

      Tokyo University of Agriculture is a private university expertise in Agricultural research and studies. Established in 1925, this university comprised of 5 faculties for both undergraduate and graduate studies in 3 campuses with a total number of 10,000 students.
