A courtesy visit from Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany

  On Thursday 16 January 2020 at 10.00 am, at meeting room 1 on the 6th floor of Business Administration Building 4, Faculty of Business Administration of Kasetsart University, Dr. Paitoon CHETTHAMRONGCHAI, a lecturer of Marketing Department and Committee of KUBIM, Faculty of Business Administration, together with Miss Jittima KRISSADANONT, Human Resource Specialist, Office of the Secretary, Faculty of Business Administration and personnel from the International Affairs Division of Kasetsart University welcomed Professor Dr. Tobias RICHTER, Business School, The Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

  The purpose of this visit was to discuss the possibility of collaboration between Faculty of Business Administration, Kasetsart University and the Business School, Tier University of Applied Science, Germany in the field of Business Administration. Dr. Paitoon CHETTHAMRONGCHAI welcomed and presented a video presentation on Kasetsart University and the Faculty of Business Administration. Then, Professor Dr. Tobias RICHTER gave further information about The Trier University of Applied Sciences and Germany’s Oldest City Trier which is a significant city, located in south-west Germany, merely 10 km (6 mi) from the Luxembourg border and is famous for its white wines.

  The meeting discussed various issues and exchanged information between the Faculty of Business Administration of both universities. Professor Dr. Tobias RICHTER added information such as the programs and courses offered at the Business School, Tier University of Applied Science, which some are offered in English, French, and Spanish, different nationalities of international students and other issue that international business students at The Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany are required to spend their final years overseas. A lot of them are interested in going to Asia and there also seems to be a growing interest in spending parts of their studies in Thailand and he would like to suggest the Faculty of Business Administration at Kasetsart University as a destination. Besides, Professor Dr. Tobias RICHTER would like to encourage more students from Thailand to exchange at the Trier University of Applied Sciences. In this regards, Dr. Paitoon CHETTHAMRONGCHAI is glad to promote both inbound and outbound exchange program between the two faculties as soon as possible or within the next academic year. Dr. Paitoon further provided additional information regarding the current academic collaboration in student exchange program between the Faculty of Business Administration Kasetsart University with other universities overseas such as France, the Netherlands and Japan etc.

  In addition, the meeting discussed the possibility of the integration of academic and research collaboration, visiting professor, exchange program of students, faculty, researchers, and staff mobility between the two universities. For example, 3 + 1 + 1 and Non-Degree platform; this can lead to the establishment of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOU) between the two universities. In summary, both sides are willing to proceed as soon as possible and looking forward to many more fruitful collaborations in the future.
