On 23 September 2019, at 10.00 a.m., at Busarakam Meeting Room on the 8th floor of Building 4 at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University, Assistant Professor Dr. Nadhawee BUNNAG, Deputy Dean for Foreign Relations and Special Affairs; along with Assistant Professor Dr. Srirath GOHWONG, Dept. of Political Science and Public Administration; and Dr. Pornphan HEMAPHAN, Lecturer, Dept. of Political Science and Public Administration; welcomed 36 delegates from Mulawarman University, Indonesia led by Professor Dr. Hj. Aji Ratna Kusuma, M. Si, Head Master Program of Management of Public Administration; along with the administrators and faculty members consisting of Professor; Dr. Widi SUNARYO, SP., M. Si, Head of International Office and Excellent Program; Dr. Heryoho Susito UTOMO, Secretary Master Program of Management of Public Administration; Dr. Bambang IRAWAN, M. Si, Lecturer at Master Program of Management of Public Administration; Dr. Cathas Teguh PRAKOSO, M. Si, Lecturer at Master Program of Management of Public Administration; and Mr. Sonny SUDIAR, Lecturer at Master Program of Management of Public Administration; together with 30 Master Program of Management of Public Administration students; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.
Assistant Professor Dr. Nadhawee BUNNAG, Deputy Dean for Foreign Relations and Special Affairs delivered a welcome speech and introduced the background with a video presentation of the university and providing broad information about Kasetsart University and Faculty of Social Sciences. Then, the representative of Mularwarman University, Indonesia thanked you for warm hospitality and provided some information about the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and discussed the purpose of this visit.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss and promote academic cooperation between the two universities. Previously, Mulawarman University has a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation with some faculties of Kasetsart University such as Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Education; in various activities such as student mobility, internship, community service, transfer credits, joint seminar, joint publication, post graduate study, general lecture, research collaboration, etc. These types of corporations are conducted by the executive boards of both universities.
And finally, 30 Master Program of Management of Public Administration students from Mularwarman University, Indonesia had opportunity to participate in the lectures by Dr. Pornphan HEMAPHAN, Lecturer, Department of Political Science and Public Administration on the topic of “Overview of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Department of Political Science and Public Administration” and a special lecture from Assistant Professor Dr. Srirath GOHWONG, Department of Political Science and Public Administration on the topic of “The State of the Art of Cyber security Law in ASEAN – Cryptocurrencies based cyber- attacks.” Later in the afternoon, a delegation from Mulawarman University visited the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Mulawarman University is the biggest university in Borneo Island with around 40,000 students and 14 faculties. Recently the university is in the cluster 2 (A accreditation) among around 4000 Universities in Indonesia. Mulawarman University is located at Samarinda (Capital of East Kalimanatan Province, Indonesia). Mulawarman University focuses on tropical studies as the main scientific interest. Mulawarman University has a total of 14 faculties including Agriculture, Forestry, Fishery and Marine Science, Social Politic, Economic and Business, Teacher Training and Education, Mathematic and Natural Science, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Public Health, Pharmacy, Humanities, and Computer Science and Information Technology.
